HTML 90%My career started in the late 90s and has given me the opportunity to work with various agencies including the Association for Information and Image Management (AIIM), smaller projects which included partners like Kodak, Lockheed Martin, The Gilbane Report; international efforts like the CoralsMatter project, the Oceanic and Atmospheric Research (OAR), and most currently the Climate Program office at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
This certification was a refresher on some of what I already know and implement on a daily basis. I also wanted a more developed and detailed understanding of the various web technologies. All of it falls within an effort to become better at my current position and to start thinking towards future certifications and job opportunities.
Below are the current certification courses I've attended at Montgomery College in Rockville.
My favorite part of this class was learning about the various libraries and to code some of the special effects like the rollovers and accordion.
It was a great experience to create XML and JSON files from scratch and to pull data from an existing source.
This course was instrumental in learning/being reminded of the basics of html5.
The most important aspect of this class was learning how to pull libraries and the overall concepts of JavaScript.
This was the first time in a while in which I had a chance to hand code an app, it was enjoyable and informative.
What I liked most about this is having a central location which I can refer to for examples of code.
I've had experienve with WSD, but it makes a difference to be in an academic environment with more in-depth information about platforms like bootstrap. I also enjoyed implementing responsive CSS in some of the exercises.
